  1. In a small bowl, combine oil, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper. Whisk to combine, set aside.
  2. Wash salad green and combine with red onions in a large salad bowl.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  4. In an oven safe skillet, melt butter over medium high heat.
  5. Add pears sliced side down. Cook several minutes or until underside is golden and caramelized.
  6. Take off stove top and place in oven and bake for 15 minutes or until soft when pierced.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool.
  8. Toss lettuce and onions with 1/2 of dressing, arrange on plates or a platter.
  9. Top with pears, nuts, cheese, and drizzle with remaining dressing.
  10. Serve.
