  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C).
  2. Cut yams into french fry size pieces.
  3. Put olive oil in a zip lock bag and put the yam fries in the bag with the oil and shake and massage the bag to ensure they are all oil coated.
  4. Put yam fries on a baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and paprika.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. They should be golden brown.
  7. Once they're brown on one side, turn them to brown the other side - about another 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
  9. Note: These are also great with dipping sauces!
