Ingredients
- 4 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp tamari soy sauce gluten free
- pepper to taste
- 1 piece steak: New York Strip, rib eye, or sirloin (8 oz)
- 1 package flat rice noodles (8 oz)
- 2 pieces scallions finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 2 heads borccoli
- 1 bunch coriander chopped
- 1 tsp chilli powder (or to taste)
- 2-3 tbsp ginger finely shredded (optional)
- 1 handful roasted cashews chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the noodles as directed on the package.
- Preheat a large frying pan on medium high heat. Add 2 tablespoons oil and 1 tbsp tamari and stir fry the beef.
- While the beef is browning, finely slice the broccoli stems and chop the heads into bite-sized florets.
- Add garlic (and chili and/or ginger, if using)and scallions to the beef and continue to cook until well browned.
- Add broccoli and a few tablespoons water and cover the pan.
- Continue to cook on a high medium heat with the lid on, stirring every 2 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender but still a tiny bit crunchy.
- If it starts to burn, add a little more water. Stir in drained noodles, the rest of the tamari soy sauce and oil.
- Taste and season and serve with chopped coriander and cashew nuts on top. Enjoy!
